While the Los Alamos Fire Department’s Fire Marshal lifted all fire restrictions in the county on June 23 thanks to monsoonal weather patterns, the use of fireworks of all kinds presents serious potential ignition of unwanted fires. Therefore, this July 4, the Fire Marshal’s office has put together a list of prohibited and permissible fireworks in accordance with the Los Alamos County Council-adopted proclamation, which limits certain fireworks.

On Monday, July 4th, the 2022 4th of July Spectacular presented by Enterprise Bank & Trust at Overlook Park in White Rock, New Mexico, brings an all-New Mexican rising star lineup to celebrate the Fourth of July. Chevel Shepherd headlines the music festival which kicks off at 4pm and includes performances by Los Alamos Jazz Project, Northern New Mexico sensation, Gabriella Salazar, and Jemez Mountain favorite, Austin Van. In 2018 Chevel Shepherd won the national music talent competition, ‘The Voice’ and in 2019 she brought an astounding eight thousand-person audience to Ashley Pond Park for her first performance with the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series produced by Sancre Productions and Los Alamos Community Services Department.
