Los Alamos Vendor Permit Application
This form ensures that the vendor's paperwork in in order and allows them to vend at the approved venues in Los Alamos County.

Lemon Lot Permits

Please Note: Catalytic converter thefts are being experiences throughout Los Alamos County. While the Lemon Lot is currently under surveillance by LAPD, it is not immune to damages/thefts, and vehicles parked as with any location, is at the owners risk.

The County issues permits to sell vehicles at the Lemon Lot. The Lemon Lot is located next to the Sullivan Field parking lot on Diamond Dr., between Canyon Rd. and Trinity Dr.

Fees:
Cars, Trucks & Motorcycles: $10.00 non-refundable fee for a spot in an allotted ten-day session.
RVs, Trailers & Boats:  $20 non-refundable fee for a spot in an allotted ten-day session.

    FAQ's:

    Who can sell an automobile on the Lemon Lot?
     
    The person selling the vehicle must be the owner, and live or work in Los Alamos County. No dealers of motor vehicles, nor their representatives, are allowed to use the Lemon Lot.

    What ordinance covers the Lemon Lot?
    Chapter 8, Article VI, Sec. 38-364

    Is there a limit on how often I can obtain a permit?
    The lemon lot permit may be renewed twice within six months. We cannot guarantee back-to-back permits.

    Where is the lemon lot?
    The Lemon Lot is located next to the Sullivan Field parking lot on Diamond Dr., between Canyon Rd. and Trinity Dr.

    For Handing out Informational Materials

    • Acquire Vendor License, date specific vending permit, and pay associated fees with LAC PROS Division.

    For Selling Non-Food Items

    • County Business License required - Contact CDD for application

    • $1 Million liability insurance naming the County as an additional insured.
    • Acquire Vendor License, date specific vending permit, and pay associated fees with LAC PROS Division.

    For Selling Pre-Packaged Food Items

    • County Business License required - Contact CDD for application.

    For Selling Prepared Food Items

    • Acquire a Food Permit from the
      NM Environmental Department.
    • County Business License required - Contact CDD for application

    • Acquire Vendor License, date specific vending permit, and pay associated fees with LAC PROS Division.

    For Alcohol

    • County Business License required - Contact CDD for application from:

    • Acquire an Alcohol & Gaming Permit from NM Alcohol and Gaming.
    • Acquire County Alcohol Use Permit from the LAC PROS Division.
    • $1Million liability insurance naming the County as an additional insured.
    • Acquire Vendor License, date specific vending permit, and pay associated fees with LAC PROS Division.
