Los Alamos County strives to improve and enhance our community's living and work environments through its economic development and comprehensive planning strategies. This list of economic development projects represents some of the activities and programs currently being managed or supported by the Community Development Department's Economic Development Division. These projects are a work of collaboration, including the participation and input of many; too many to list here.   • Pet Pangaea Development (3661 & 3689 Trinity Drive) - Under Contract; awaiting site plan approval application from contract purchaser.


  • 110 Entrada - Solicitation closed as of 6/6/2022 and under consideration by Staff and Council.
  • DP Road A-8-A - Solicitation tentatively scheduled for late summer 2022.
  • DP Road A-16-A - Solicitation tentatively scheduled for spring 2023.

  • Pajarito Mountain Water Service/Fire Suppression - Feasibility Under Review 


  • Canyon Walk (70 apartments) – 100% Occupied, Awaiting Permit Close-Out

  • The Hill (149 apartments) – Under Construction
  • Homes at North Community (44 townhomes) – Under Construction

  • Short Term Rental Policy, Regulation, and Management – RFP Responses under consideration by County Staff
  • Regional Economic Development Implementation Plan Update - Under preparation by North Central New Mexico Economic Development District on behalf of the Regional Development Corporation. 
  • Mari-Mac Assemblage - Private Developer has the property under contract, CASE NO. SUP-2022-0025. Greg Gonzales, dba Columbus Capital, is requesting Special Use Permit approval for a Self-Service Storage Facility utilizing 58,000 Sq. Ft. space within an existing building located at 535 Central Avenue, Los Alamos, NM.
