Description

A downtown landmark dating back to ranch-school days, Ashley Pond Park was originally a natural depression. It is named after the founder of the Los Alamos Ranch School, Ashley Pond, and is a cherished place for walks picnics, concerts, events and more.

10 acres of grassy gentle slopes and a pond complete with live water fowl and fish as the center attraction.  Ashley Pond is often used for gatherings and concerts.  The covered pavilion has electric outlets inside.

Barranca Mesa Park

Camp May

Location: Camp May Road @ Pajarito Mountain

Description:  27 acres

This park may be rented April through October. Closed from November through March. 
Fees: $10 per 24 hours, with a 14 day maximum on one month. 
Reservations can be made at the Larry Walkup Aquatic Center during normal business hours.

East Park

Location: 300 East Road Los Alamos, NM 87544

Description:  East Park sits on 4 acres and plays host to a picnic pavilion, basketball court and miniature golf course made from recycled playground equipment including a Cinderella carriage, a submarine, and a Conestoga wagon.

Description: A 5-acre park located in a ponderosa pine forest. The park has three large and one small picnic pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables, and a 9-hole disc golf course. There is plenty of shade in the cool pines and the county trail network is nearby.

Description: 
Located in White Rock, the park contains many amenities including a wheelchair-accessible scenic overlook of White Rock Canyon, the Rio Grande, and the mountainous country to the East. With spectacular views and more than adequate space, it is a popular venue for soccer, softball, and baseball as well as several special events.

Piñon Park

Piñon Park Splash Pad

Description: 
Piñon Park Splash Pad is a water feature pad designed for kids to play on above ground water element. The Splash Pad is accessible from Pinon Park Play Lot and Tennis Courts. The facility opens on the Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.

Rules: 
- For your safety, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER
- Surfaces may be hot! Footwear is recommended
- Food, Alcohol, and glass are prohibited in the Splash Pad area
- Athletic equipment such as bicycles, skateboards, scooters, skates, and similar equipment are NOT ALLOWED
- Climbing on water structure is prohibited
- Children who are not potty trained must wear swim diapers
- Diaper changing should be completed in changing room
- Do not play or participate in splash pad activities if you are experiencing diarrhea, nausea, or have open wounds.
- Vacate premises at first sign of thunderstorm for other threatening weather
- No animals allowed
- Play safely, have fun & help us keep our Splash Pad clean and in good condition

Reservations are not accepted for the Pinon Park Splash Pad.

Rover Park
